Balayage is a French word meaning “to paint” or “to sweep.” It’s a freehand hair coloring technique which gives your hair that subtly blended multi-dimensional multi-layered multi-tonal sun-kissed natural-look preferred by sophisticated celebrities – with fewer harsh, obvious re-growth lines between salon appointments.
It’s a new technique where your hair is pulled through tiny securing microbeads and intricately threaded to selected hair extensions wefts. This replaces traditional cornrow weaves and braids. It’s for people who want a flatter near-invisible more-natural look.
Hair highlights, and lowlights, change your hair color by using lightener haircolor to color hair strands. There are four basic types of highlights: foil highlights, hair painting, frosting, and chunking. Highlights can be done in natural or unnatural colors. Color highlights come in four categories: temporary, semi-permanent, demi-permanent, and permanent. Hair lightened with bleach or permanent color will be permanent until new-growth begins to emerge. Highlighted hair will make the hair appear fuller. So, it’s recommended on people with thin and fine hair. It’s also recommended for people with at least 50 % grey for easy blending, and to diminish the line of demarcation once new-growth emerges.
